SETTING STANDARDS. DELIVERING RESULTS
I have a strong reputation in advancing and defending my clients' corporate, commercial, tax and transaction based needs.
My firm specialises in commercial, corporate, and taxation matters, offering precise, results-driven legal representation. I provide consultancy services and technical trainings, having worked with governments, the United Nations, and civil society organisations to craft legal frameworks and fiscal policies that drive equitable progress.
Lai'Latif & Co Advocates operates through a globally outsourced model, with team members spanning the African continent, Argentina, Bangladesh, and Cambodia. This diverse and inclusive approach allows the firm to stay attuned to global trends while offering locally informed solutions.
I have positioned my firm to create the blueprint for legal success and research services: having grown internationally and in response to the increasing cross-border demands for legal, research and training services around public and private finance, digitalisation of the economy, SDGs and emerging digital business models by the biggest corporate and not-for-profit institutions in the world.
I take great pride in my commitment to serving the community, and I strive to make a positive impact through my legal services. As part of this commitment, I offer pro bono assistance to non-profit organizations, as well as providing legal advice to low-income individuals on matters such as transaction disputes, probate and tenant-landlord relationships. It is my belief that everyone deserves access to legal support, and I am honored to contribute to the betterment of our community in this way. In 2020, I founded زكاة تمكين المرأة (zakat tamkin almar'a - Islamic wealth tax for women empowerment) a funding project to support underprivileged women from no or low income households to start businesses and support their welfare.
I ensure that my office is an inclusive place for persons of varying backgrounds and abilities. My firm also provides services at reduced rates or pro bono to social outreach organizations. I believe these activities are an important contribution to our society, and feel that they support and enhance the professional development of our team.
My bi-annual forum brings together students, graduates, professionals, the public and private sector to converse about the socio-economic impacts of government policy on development and to discuss recommendations that aim to improve living standards, foster a resilinet business environment, secure human rights and promote justice for all.
Partner with me, or join me to support my زكاة تمكين المرأة (zakat tamkin almar'a - Islamic wealth tax for women empowerment) project. Help me offer regular career development strategies and project support to financially empower under privileged women from poor households.
This branch of my work convenes focused presentations, seminars and debates on campus, particularly at the graduate level, at universities, each semester. I recognize that the students of today will be the policy makers of tomorrow. I view campuses as the most appropriate and impactful laboratory of thought.
