I advise individuals, SMEs and multinational corporations, supporting them in all aspects of corporate life, from establishment and daily operation, and throughout their corporate development. I am active in advising my clients in the context of domestic and cross-border corporate and commercial transactions,   

as well as proactively consulting businesses on their relationships with domestic and international customers, suppliers, agents and distributors. I provide advise on the management of privately and publicly held entities across a wide range of highly sensitive and complex business and legal issues, such as: taxation aspects of partnership, corporate and real estate transactions, including choice of entity, start-ups, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, reorganizations and workouts, mergers and acquisitions including both buy and sell sides, general corporate practice and business divorce.

I offer specialised services to investors and clients looking to deal and invest at the Nairobi Securities Exchange. I advise and defend clients in a wide range of securities offered by the Kenyan Capital Market - and derivatives related matters, and provide comprehensive regulatory, transactional, enforcement and litigation solutions in matters involving securities and custody chains. As my area of focus I advise on the regulatory aspects of the transactional work that is required to deal with securities and to have the securities listed, I offer compliance counselling, conduct investigations and examinations, advice on financial reporting and disclosures, assist with bank/broker-dealer integration, and draft the requisite transactional documentations for listing my client company at the securities exchange. 

I provide a wide range of domestic and international tax consulting services, guiding clients through residence rules and how they work with double taxation agreements. I also advise on tax implications based on structuring and executing complex transactions. Work undertaken includes advising on tax consequences of domestic and cross-border joint ventures, transfer pricing, mergers and acquisitions and capital restructuring.  I also offer governments and international policy making bodies with strategic advise based on solutions to improve and strengthen their tax mobilisation capacity by designing and implementing reforms, establishing effective revenue strategies, addressing technical challenges, curbing illicit financial flows and diagnosing bottlenecks. 

I offer practical legal and taxation advise to businesses wanting to transact online. I also assist clients in developing new digital business models. The clandestine nature of the invisible web enables illicit finance to flow from it. This is where new digital business models can be used to steal financial data (carding), make illegal financial transfers (loot boxes), disrupt or manipulate data (phantomware for sales suppression) and execute any other unlawful actions (fraudulently intercept/bypass signal transmissions). I offer specialised advise on understanding how these models operate and recommend legal and regulatory measures to counter each of these methods. 

I assist clients in the development of innovative and creative financing for development projects. I offer clients consultation on legal options for borrowing and methods of repayment, structuring PPPs, drafting finance documentation and security packages. With the establishment of the Nairobi International Financial Center, I also provide investment advice to both onshore and offshore investors. Much of my advise focuses on the creation of suitable asset holding structures involving trusts, foundations and companies based in the Nairobi International Financial Centre and also making the optimum use of the onshore jurisdiction for tax treaty planning and other reasons. 

I provide advice on all legal and practical issues arising out of employment. I represent clients on labour and employment issues in litigation, arbitration and during administrative hearings. I aim at providing practical solutions to clients' queries and resolving issues before problems actually arise in court. My firm's employment practice acts on both contentious and non-contentious matters, and advises on tax, corporate and regulatory employment related issues. The firm prides itself in its contentious experience including claims for breach of contract, unfair dismissal, discrimination and equal pay, as well as its extensive experience in drafting employment contracts between companies and their employees, international assignments and data protection regulatory compliance.
