Performance. Results Oriented. Diligence. However you define it, success in today’s global and digital age means addressing increasingly complex issues faster and more efficiently amid rapid change. Making the right decisions in this environment requires strategic counsel from an advisor who not only knows how laws are evolving in jurisdictions around the world, but also has a deep understanding of your particular industry. This is Lai'Latif & Co. We take an increasingly focused approach to working with clients in the corporate, commercial, financial, private equity, real estate, and digitalising sectors. It’s not just what we do. It’s why we do it — We strive to help you succeed, however you define success. You receive our best in every engagement. By helping you make the most of leveraging opportunities, protecting what’s important, and clearing obstacles in your way. At Lai'Latif & Co, we use law to enable our clients’ success. When we partner with our clients to practice law, we do so not just with integrity, but with ingenuity, agility and ambition. And in so doing, we are able to make a powerful, positive and lasting impact.
We are positioned to create the blueprint for legal success and research services: we have grown internationally and in response to the increasing cross-border demands for legal, research and training services around public and private finance, digitalisation of the economy, SDGs and emerging digital business models by the biggest corporate and not-for-profit institutions in the world.
We recognise and take pride in our commitment to the community. We often provide our services pro bono, assisting non-profit organizations with questions of association, employment and structuring, and offering advice to low-income individuals with matters such as probate and tenant-landlord relationships. In 2020, we founded زكاة تمكين المرأة (zakat tamkin almar'a - Islamic wealth tax for women empowerment) a funding project to support underprivileged women from no or low income households to start businesses and support their welfare.
We ensure that our office is an inclusive place for persons of varying backgrounds and abilities. The firm also provides services at reduced rates or pro bono to social outreach organizations. We believe these activities are an important contribution to our society, and feel that they support and enhance the professional development of our team.
Our bi-annual forum brings together students, graduates, professionals, the public and private sector to converse about the socio-economic impacts of government policy on development and to discuss recommendations that aim to improve living standards, foster a resilinet business environment, secure human rights and promote justice for all.
Partner with us, or join us to support our زكاة تمكين المرأة (zakat tamkin almar'a - Islamic wealth tax for women empowerment) project. Help us offer regular career development strategies and project support to financially empower under privileged women from poor households.
This branch of our work convenes focused presentations, seminars and debates on campus, particularly at the graduate level, at universities, each semester. We recognize that the students of today will be the policy makers of tomorrow. We view campuses as the most appropriate and impactful laboratory of thought.
