Research under grant number 2014/483935-0  to investigate the Extent to which Human Rights Principles are Applied in Health Policy Making and Programming in Chereng’any Sub County in Kenya   

Working with the Surge Initiative established under the OHCHR to study fiscal transparency and public accountability as part of a state's progress towards human rights and SDGs from a revenue and redistribution cycles perspective and to develop a framing document for UN Member States and agences to use to monitor fiscal transparency and accountability. 

Consultancy services provided to UN OSAA on strategic African based solutions to identify the subtle institutionalised pathways through which proceeds of money laundering and corruption are moved legitimately. 

Research on the political, and public perceptions on including the Islamic wealth tax as part of Kenya’s fiscal system

 Research on leveraging private flows from digital technology to finance SDGs in Africa. Examining e-business revenue opportunities amidst the challenges posed by iliicit financial flows

Research on the Regulation and Taxation of FinTech focusing on comparative analysis between Africa, Asia and Latin American countries regulatory and tax approaches to FinTech activities

Research on examining the extent to which the government of Kenya is on track in advancing the rights of the youth to employment and towards accessing wealth creation opportunities 

 Research on key reform areas to be included in Kenya’s tax legislation. Reviewing the Income Tax Bill and proposing further input on digital taxation, permanent establishment, presumptive tax, tax incentives and prevention of illicit financial flows for civil society to advocate for 

Research on Africa on reforms based on international corporate taxation and the fight against illicit financial flows 

Collaborative research work on the tax collection capacity of Afghanistan and prevalent tax evasion practices

Conducting international tax trainings on behalf of Capabuild

Supporting the development of policy proposals on wealth taxation, and designing of tax training modules for policy makers & tax administrators on preparing tax policies crafted around the achievement of SDGs.

Providing new insights on international tax treaties scholarship emerging out of economic relations between UAE, Qatar and East African states.

Conducting a cost-benefit analysis of tax incentives and aggressive tax planning in Chad, DRC, Equatorial Guinea and Nigeria.
